Project description

Photodegradable bag

Plastic bag (with the same dimensions of those conventionally used) which has an additive that makes it photodegradable - highly degradable while in contact with the light (especially UV radiant) -, that is, the sun will be responsible for its accelerated degradation, decomposing the bag in less than one year.

Photodegradation is an alternative method for biological detoxification. Is defined as the photochemical transformation of a molecule into lower molecular weight fragments, usually in an oxidation process.

In its trash bag version, it also have a nanoparticle additive which confers properties to emanate an odor (imperceptible to humans) that replete dogs and cats avoiding its destruction while on the streets awaiting for collection.
